Frequently Asked Lodging Questions

Lodging frequently asked questions for Perfect Pet Resorts

  • Q. What is your cancellation policy? Do you require a deposit for every stay?

    A. We require 72 hours notice when cancelling your reservation. Cancellation within 72 hours from the morning of your scheduled arrival, will result in forfeiture of your deposit. We require a non-refundable deposit for all lodging reservations year round.  If you cancel your reservation prior to 72 hours of your pet’s scheduled stay, your deposit will be transferred to your Perfect Pet Resort account and can be used toward any of our services or products within 6 months.

  • Q. What if I can't make it during the set pick-up and drop-off times?

    A. We will attempt to accommodate off hour pick-up and drop-off requests.  Off hour arrangements must be scheduled prior to stay.   If you have a special off hour need, please inquire.  Fees apply.

  • Q. How are standard lodging charges calculated?

    A. All lodging charges are applied daily similar to the way a hotel charges.  Charges begin on the day of check-in.  If you pick up your pet prior to 11:00am on the scheduled day of departure, you will not be charged for that day.  A daily charge applies to all Sundays.

  • Q. Do you have any bathing requirements for a stay?

    A. We do not require your pet to have a bath before they go home, however we strongly recommend it. We use the Hydrosurge™ bathing system, which provides a massaging bath for your dog effectively removing dead hair caught in the undercoat. They’ll also get an ear cleaning and a nice nail trim! Your pet will go home smelling fresh and looking clean after romping with friends in the play yards.

  • Q. Do you have indoor/outdoor runs?

    A. At Perfect Pet Resort, our guests enjoy indoor, temperature-controlled suites for eating, resting, and overnight sleep.  For exercise, dogs have large, secure outdoor yards for potty and playtime.  This arrangement allows us to give personal attention and interaction with each guest as they move to and from playtime. We do not have traditional indoor/outdoor-style kennels.  Come take a tour to see our lodging and play areas!

  • Q. How much time does my dog get outside?

    A. Your dog receives lots of outdoor time to use the potty and play with friends.  Dogs will go outside three times per day for anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the weather.  The yards are surfaced naturally with wood chips so your dog will be comfortable using the bathroom.

  • Q. What happens if my pet gets ill or hurt while they are staying with you?

    A. Should a situation arise when your pet requires medical attention, we will contact you or your emergency contact to coordinate veterinary services with a local veterinary clinic. In the event of an off-hours emergency, we contact you and transport your pet to a veterinary emergency center.  We are in close proximity to multiple animal hospitals and clinics.

  • Q. I just rescued a new dog. Can I bring him in for a stay?

    A. We can’t wait to meet your new family member!  Let us know how we can help you transition your new pup into your home and lifestyle.  For lodging needs, we recommend you bond and get to know your new family member for at least three weeks before bringing them for their first overnight stay.  Feel free to schedule daycare, spa, wellness, and training services right away.
