Types of Dog Training
Foundation Training: Foundation skills are the building blocks of a canine education. Teach your dog the mechanics and comprehension of basic commands using shaping techniques that allow your pup to make decisions and reap rewards. Building on a solid foundation will allow you to reach your training goals and much more! Achieve your pup’s foundation with group classes, private lessons, our resort “stay and train” program or a combination of these options.
Puppy Training: Get started on the right paw and begin bonding with your new arrival! Discover early education, learn the must-dos and avoid puppy pitfalls. Some of the topics covered in class or private lessons include relationship building, socialization, common mistakes, house training, crate training, chewing, jumping, and confidence building.
Agility Training: Explore the fun world of canine agility! Try an introductory class or sharpen your skills for the next agility trial. We have a place in this program for everyone. Enhance your communication skills and read your dog’s body language as you and your dog build confidence and navigate each obstacle! You can get started in our agility program in a class or a private lesson. Agility training can also be added to your dog’s lodging or daycare stay!
Resort Stay and Train: Combine premier lodging with top-notch training in this popular program. Behavior Modification: Sometimes we need to focus on what the dog is thinking and feeling inside to shape an unwanted reaction or behavior. This is different than simply asking for a certain behavior. The objective is to change behavior by changing how the dog views a situation, person, or stimulus. Schedule a private lesson with one of our professional dog trainers to learn how behavior modification can help you and your canine.
Specialty Training: Tracking, scent detection, competition obedience and other specialty dog training can be achieved through our workshops, private lessons, and occasional group classes.

Private Lessons
Work with our trainers to develop the training and handling skills of your choice. Whether it is basic obedience, more advanced skills or agility, our trainers will devote their time and expertise to you and your pet. We know training is most effective in packages. For best results, we offer a six pack of private lessons with a 3-month expiration date. We offer both 30 minute and 1 hour lessons.

Puppy Essentials
Start your puppy off on the right paw with this all-in-one training package! Includes a private lesson, 5-week group class, and a FREE Puppy Club social session. Perfect for pups up to 5 months old, this program builds manners, confidence, and social skills—everything your new best friend needs to grow up happy and well-behaved!

Level 1: Everyday Manners & Skills
Set the foundation for a well-behaved dog with this 6-week program for pups 5 months and older! This 6-week program starts with a private lesson to focus on your dog’s unique needs, followed by a 5-week group class covering everyday essentials like polite greetings, leash walking, recall, and impulse control. A great next step after Puppy Essentials or for any dog ready to learn the basics!

Level 2: Focus & Reliability
Ready for the next step in training? This advanced class helps your dog build focus, stay calm around distractions, and respond reliably to cues. Ideal for Level 1 grads looking to strengthen skills like recall, loose leash walking, and more!

Level 3: Real World Skills
Take your dog’s training into everyday life! This class focuses on controlled greetings, calm behavior in crowds, impulse control, and intro to off-leash skills—perfect for dogs ready to practice good manners in real-world situations.

Introduction to Agility
Explore the fun world of canine agility! In this class you will introduce your dog to a variety of agility obstacles. Enhance your communication skills and read your dog’s body language as you navigate the obstacles together.

Intro to K9 Nose Work®
This detection-style sport is designed to develop a dog’s natural scenting abilities by using curiosity and their love of toys, food and exercise. Have fun, build confidence and burn lots of physical and mental energy!

K9 Nose Work® Intro to Odor
In this 6-week course, dogs and their people change environments and begin tracking birch odor. At the end of this training class the dogs will be able to find the target scent used in K9 Nose Work® competition trail! The searches will be “blind” meaning you will not know which box contains the odor, and you must be able to correctly identify when your pup has found the correct odor box! Prerequisite: K9 Nose Work®
