Preparing for Your Pet Training Session

Your first pet training session is very exciting! Let us help you prepare.

  • What To Bring
    • 5-6 foot nylon or leather leash. Please do not use a retractable or chain leash.
    • Highly desirable, soft, small treats that your pup loves to eat. Please do not feed your dog right before class.
  • Immunizations
    • For the protection of all our guests, we require proof of the following vaccinations in the form of veterinary records.
      • Rabies
      • Distemper/Parvo (required)
      • Bordetella (recommended for training, required for daycare or lodging services)
    • Veterinary records can be emailed to records@perfectpetresort.com or faxed to 410.741.1500.
  • Family Members and Guests

Training your pet is something that may involve the whole family, and we are happy to have family members join us. However, please limit the number of guests, as too many people may confuse your dog. There should be a designated handler throughout the series of classes when your dog is learning new skills. An adult must accompany children under 18.

  • Make Up Sessions

The instructor will attempt to put you in a make up class if you miss a session. Make up sessions, however, are not guaranteed.

  • Clothing

Please be sure to wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to move and work with your dog. For your safety and comfort, do not wear high heels or flip flops.

  • Cancellation and Refund Policy

We have limited enrollment in our classes so payment is required to reserve your space. Once payment has been taken, it is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the class for which you are enrolled, you may transfer to a different class up to seven days prior to the start date of your class.
